This track here is not a song, nor a tune. It is a sound. A sound compiled by satanists in the early 12th century to open a door to hell to willingly given their souls to Lucifer. A sound used in 13th centure Europe during Excorisms to open the gates of hell in order to send the demon within someone back to its origins. This track is a danger to play for when it opens the gates of hell, it allows demons to enter wherever you are. Play at your own risk!!! There are certain “safe” zone where this track will not play at all and these zones are usually holy places such as churches where demons would not dare to lurk.
can I just get something off my chest? I just want to point out how underrated I think Gear is. and the fact that I don't think the show really did him justice. I mean, I absolutely love Static, of course, but I jut think they could have done more with Gear. he had a lot of potential. but nevertheless, I'm excited about Static being on YJ. okay, rant over.
YES. THANK YOU.
even though virgil was the main character, Richie was my favorite. Even with his totally lame powers, HE MADE IT WORK. and he pretty much had the best lines.
Plus, he made Virgil’s character soar. I honestly dont think that Virg would be the hero he turned out to be without Richie.
AND if it makes you feel better, Dwayne McDuffie actually planned to made a gear-centric spin off series. It was supposed to revolve around Richie’s mom getting divorced, and them moving away to another city, where Gear had to find his own way as a hero.
As much as I would miss the Richie/Virgil dynamic, I HAVE TO ADMIT a Gear spin off would be AMAZING. And Richie was a popular character. Dwayne said more than once that it was the introduction of his alter ego that actually bought them a third season.
on that note, this spin off never happened becuase of the failed toy deal for the static shock series, which canceled Static Shock as well.
and now that Dwayne is dead, I doubt gear will ever get any animated attention ever again. Even on YJ. I am crossing my fingers but, probably not.
Virgil has his arm slung over Richie's torso and the other under his neck, with his face buried in Richie's neck. Richie is lying on his back. They are both fast asleep. Intermittently, Richie flinches and gently flails his arms until it becomes something of a convulsion. Neither of them waking, Virgil stretches his arms out and pulls Richie in. Virgil snuggles Richie and rests his chin the nook of Richie's neck. They sleep comfortably in that position until morning.
