Last week when DC announced the cancellation of six of the lowest selling of the new 52, I was very sad to see Static Shock on the list. I’ll be honest, I really liked the first issue of this but the writing after that went down hill. It was a surprise because the team, Scott McDaniel and John…

So I was right about there being too much plot going on at once… because there really WAS too much plot.  If they had just used ONE idea per story arc it would have been so much better.  Too many cooks spoiled the soup, all wanting to have their thoughts thrown in.  The only thing I really liked about the new series was that Virgil’s fun-loving and nerdy personality was intact. 

They’ll probably stick Static in the Teen Titans again, but this time I will NOT buy because of Lobdell. 

One day I hope comic companies will learn books go unbought not because the character is bad, but because the handling of them is poor. 

Also the fact that Richie wasn’t in it being homoerotic with Virgil. Because that’s what made the tv series for me.
