R.I.P. Dwayne McDuffie

Im really quite upset over this. today, I lost one of my heros.

I think moe said it better than me:

“He was a notable, amazing comic book writer and a wonderful person, most notable for his creation of Static Shock and other work in the DC comicverse. He included controversy, important issues, and LGBT characters in his work and didn’t give seven shits what other people thought. He was a badass motherfucker, and also one of the biggest inspirations in my artistic growth.”

I think what kills me that most is that Mr. McDuffie will never see his creation Virgil Hawkins in his own comic book (although, since its written by Henderson, this might be a good thing.). I just. FHDJFHDJSKSAD.
